Basically, balancing is done to kill FoTMs, overpowered builds, or broken mechanics and to I guess, encourage new FoTMs, overpowered builds, and broken mechanics.

All they need to do is make matches 2 out of 3 (or 3 out of 5) and allow sideboards just like the game they supposedly modeled this after, Magic...
